History of the estate
Born in the family vineyards of Bordeaux, Thierry Germain took over the Domaine des Roches Neuves in 1992, which was already producing the best wines in the region. The 28 hectares of the estate are now biodynamically cultivated and the master of the place spares no effort to obtain a perfect match between the terroir of Saumur-Champigny and Cabernet Franc, the only grape variety of the appellation. Small yields, manual harvesting at full maturity and aging in 25hl round and 12hl oval tuns and in barrels for 2 to 6 wines
His son, Louis, joined the estate in 2020.
